Why is it free? What's the catch?
There is no catch. We provide free audits because we want to build the best online repository of cookies and cookie behavior. We also believe users should have free access to this information to make informed privacy decisions about the sites they use. If you wish to support the site then do so by visiting our advertiser sites, or by spreading the word. What are the Rules?
To ensure the system does not get overloaded and to prevent abuse there are a few rules:
** Each unique site can be audited only once every 30 days
** We will audit up to 100 pages per site
** Your audit request will placed in the queue and handled in the order in which it was received
** One site audit per user per day
Why do I need a cookie audit?
A cookie audit helps you understand what cookies your site is creating. This is useful to help you understand if you are in compliance with evolving data privacy laws like the EU Cookie Directive. It is also useful in identifying 3rd party tracking tags being used without your knowledge, and in showing your users that you have nothing to hide in your cookie practices.
